i always get the days wrong... sue me.

You know something?  I don't think I have ever done an Awkward and Awesome Thursday on Thursday.

Tuesday, check.

Monday, check.

Saturday, check.

Thursday?  Um.  No.

But anyways.  It's Sunday and we're doing some awkward and awesomes over here.

Awkward:
-Finding out that a 50 year old woman was wearing the exact dress I own.  Ok, which one of us is a creeper?

-Sleeping in until 10:00 that day and my friend goes "*yawn* I got up at 6am today.  What time did you get up?"  ...  "ummm...I mean...psh...that doesn'treallymatter.  SO  do you think tomatoes are vegetables or fruits?"  Um, yea.

-Mom asking if I've been keeping up with the bible study homework.  I didn't answer.  Little did she know my homework had been downstairs since the bible study, and I had completely forgotten about my homeowork.  ....heh....oops?

-The spider I smashed the other day popped.  It actually popped!  Disgusting.

-My dad watching the "hoarders" show and saying "I'm obsessed with watching other people's hoarding obsession."  He was kidding, of course.  Or let's hope.....

-My tan line.  All I can say is WHAT THE HECK.

-A dude my age winked at me.  Winked.  Wow.  I got outta there as soon as I could.  That was just complete awkwardness.  And weird.  I just gave him the  dude-I'm-13-and-all-i-have-to-do-is-go-get-my-brother-and-you'll-be-sorry-for-ever-winking-at-me  look.

-My dad poking me in the sides while I was in my room, door closed, MP3 blasting in my ears and me singing at the top of my lungs.  First I jumped like a mental kangaroo and glanced apprehensively towards my window to make sure it was open so I'd have a way out while thinking "creeper!" Then my dad goes "were you singing?"  Um, how long have you been standing there, exactly??

(my brother and I had been talking about a football player named Jeb.)
-me:  'WHY would someone name their kid 'Jeb'?"
kendall:  "I think he's Canadian."
me:  "Ever since I found out Justin Bieber's Canadian, I don't like them."
{no offense to Canadian's.  I was totally just kidding.  =)}
kendall:  "Hawk Nelson's Canadian."
me:  "Never mind, I do like Canadians."
kendall:  "I think Rebecca Black's Canadian."
me:  "K, I don't like Canadians."
kendall:  "No... maybe she's isn't."
me:  "Canadians are iffy."
kendall:  ".... I'm pretty sure Manafest is Canadian."
me:  *gives the look*

-Having to look up how to spell "Beiber" just now.  Stop laughing you guys, it's a weird last name.  =)

-Me:  "I've been sick for like 5 weeks."
kendall:  "ABBY.  I've been sick for like a month."
Umm... way to be a mathematician on that one bro...

 Awesome:
-The Renaissance Faire.  And being a volunteer there.  loooooovveeeee
(and I'm about to faint from exhaustion.  just thought i'd let'cha know.)

-Staying up ALL NIGHT.  And what was I doing the entire night?  Reading Harry Potter.  ohhh yes.
(that was when I was still reading the Harry Potter series.  i finished them now.)

- Thursday.  Can't wait.

-Listening to one song over and over and over...and over again.  That's what I'm talking about baby.

- The dozen roses my dad got for my mom for their anniversary last Friday.  Are you surprised you haven't seen a gajillion-million pictures of them yet?  I am.

-My daddy.

-Finishing my Renaissance dress AND necklace in time for the Ren Faire.  Pictures later.  (I was at the Ren Faire the whole weekend, my parents anniversary was on Friday, and Father's Day was today.  That's why I was so busy.)

- Eating absolutely nothing today, and then pigging out on the amazing Father's Day dinner, courtesy to my momma and siblings.  To say it was fan-tastic would be a pretty huge understatement.
is it possible to get all-of-a-sudden fat after just one meal?

-Winning the "best costume" contest at the Ren Faire and getting a $25 gift card for ice cream!  The first thing my brother says to me when I told him that was: "awesome.  You're taking the whole fam, right?"  Psh.

Does it bother you that there's more awkwards then awesomes?  Not that there's more awkwardness than awesomeness in my life.  But looottsss of awkward things happen to me.  Like, we're talking 24/7 awkwardness here.  I'm telling you, the awkward ghost lives at my house.  If there is such a thing.

Let me know in the comments if you want more of these awkward and awesomes!

*this was the daybooks idea.  not taking it as my own.  =)

  4. Haha, there's a ton of awkward stuff in life! I'm constantly getting that "Eek, AWK-WARD!" feeling. ;) Of course, I usually push it away because if I got all embarrassed everytime I did something awkward I'd never come out of my room and where's the fun in that? ;)
