I suddenly got this weird urge to get off my bum and go take pictures today at around 8:30pm.
Does this happen to all call-ourself-photographers? Or is it just me? Probably the latter, knowing me...
The light is perfect for picture-taking at around 8-9ish. It's gives off a beautiful warm glow.
Thought I'd show you some I got today - all edited.
We have a bush of small flowers in our backyard and for the 4 years we've lived here, I never though to take pictures of it.
I saw it tonight and then I was like
DUH
I really like the softness of this one... as soon as I saw the SOOC, I knew I wanted to soften it up a bit and add a light haze-ish to it. What'dya think?
I actually took the one below without looking... haha. I think it turned out ok though...
I really like the focus of this next one. I actually added a gaussian blur in Photoshop, but it was actually only strongly focused in that one spot. I just kinda enhanced the blurriness. (I boosted the color just a bit too.) Click on the picture to see the SOOC.
I don't love this one. But its kinda grown on me. It's a bit bright, but I think there should always be at least one hippy-ish photo out of the bunch. Agree?
This one I really don't like. But what caught my eye was the way the sun shone through the leaves. That always gets me on like every photo, whether the photo is good or not. =P What can I say, k?
This one kinda has that same softness as the first one. But it's a bit brighter. I really like it. I love how the light is coming from the center of the flower. =)

So what do you think? Was this 15-minute shoot worth it, or do you think my pictures need some serious help?
Let me know in the comments!

You are an awesome photographer in my opinion! I LOVED all the pictures but the first on really caught my eye!Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeletep.s. What camera do you use?
@Stephie - Thanks so much! =D I use a a Canon PowerShot SD790 point-and-shoot. Maybe someday I'll learn to use our high-end camera's (we have a photography business) with our good lenses? Haha.

LOVE THEM ALL! Seriously. The last flower and the one you took with out looking are my favorites. Ahhemm... I can't even take a picture that good when I AM looking! Amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! I love the one where you're looking up the tree trunk. :) And no, it's not just you... sometimes I'll have random flashes of "I want to take photos!" too. Hehehe. It's a photographer (or wanna-be photographer) thing. ;)
